Public Transit Connections:

From YXX to Vancouver: Take a taxi/Uber to Highstreet Shopping Centre (10–15 min, approx. $15). From there, catch the #66 FVX bus ($5 cash fare) to Lougheed SkyTrain Station. Continue on SkyTrain to downtown Vancouver or transfer to the Canada Line for YVR.

From Vancouver/YVR to Abbotsford: Reverse this route by taking the SkyTrain to Lougheed Town Centre, then catch the #66 FVX eastbound to Abbotsford. For schedules, visit BC Transit and TransLink.

Driving to Abbotsford

From Vancouver – Car travel takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes from Vancouver. From where you are staying in the city, head east on the Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 W. Abbotsford can also be accessed via BC-99, or BC-17.

From Seattle – Abbotsford is located less than 2.5 hours north of Seattle. From downtown Seattle, merge onto Interstate 5 northbound toward Vancouver. At Bellingham, take exit 256A-256B for the Aldergrove-Bellingham Highway/ BC-13. This road will take you to the USA/ Canada border crossing and into the Fraser Valley. Don’t forget your passport!

For those wanting to experience a classic train ride, the West Coast Express runs Monday to Friday from Downtown Vancouver to Mission with stops along the way. Hopping on the #31 bus in Mission will take you directly to Abbotsford!

VIA Rail offers an Abbotsford stop along their route. Please note that this location is not a station, it is a sign post (a stop on request area). Make sure to prepare accordingly. There is no station or shelter at this location and no staff available to assist with baggage or other needs. Be prepared for the weather conditions as you’ll be waiting outside.
