Sport & Event Hosting
Tourism Abbotsford’s Sport & Event Hosting program is our guidance and support program for event organizers in our community. We work closely with those looking to bring events to Abbotsford, and support those who have already secured events. Whether it be sporting events or community events, our goal is to ensure event organizers are able to give attendees a quality experience while in our community.
Enhance Events
Already have an event secured and looking for some guidance and support? We can help plan accommodations, transportation, site visit coordination, and event enhancements such as pre-and-post event experiences. In addition, we offer hosting grants to events looking to secure some additional funding.
Marketing Grant
The purpose of the Tourism Abbotsford Marketing Grant is to support marketing initiatives for tourism-related products, services or experiences that contribute to attracting visitation (day or overnight) to Abbotsford during the shoulder season (September through May).

Abbotsford Bakerview – Travelodge by Wyndham

Abbotsford Centre

Abbotsford Exhibition Park
Abbotsford Exhibition Park is a world class 75-acre park which boasts a wide variety of indoor and outdoor facilities, including ball diamonds, playing fields, boardrooms, show barn, arena, cricket pitch, a track & field stadium and BMX track. Abbotsford Exhibition Park (AEP) hosts many large events including Canada Day, Agrifair, track and field events, ball tournaments and cultural events. The Legacy Building is equipped with a fully functioning kitchen and is a great location for weddings, meetings and other events. The Sports Hall of Fame, Valley Royals, Twisters Gymnastics club and others make their homes on the AEP grounds.
Abbotsford Recreation Centre
The facility provides an international size ice sheet, and has been the host to several major short track speed skating events. In addition to the world-class ice surface, the new adjoining community centre and outdoor grass fields provide world-class dry land training. ARC also has weight training and fitness facilities, 2 full size gymnasiums, multipurpose rooms, and a 25 metre pool.

Located on the campus of the University of the Fraser Valley, this gymnasium is home to the UFV Cascades basketball and volleyball teams. It features a 21,500 sq.ft. gymnasium equipped with 1,500 spectator seats, plus an additional 8,500 sq.ft. gymnasium.
Matsqui Recreation Centre
Matsqui Recreation Centre (MRC) is home to a 25 metre pool with a wave machine, water slide, regulation size ice rink, 5,300 square foot weight room and fitness centre, as well as facility rentals, senior centre and community programming.
MRC Sports Complex
Four FIFA Quality 2-Star synthetic turf fields with outdoor lighting for night play and plenty of room for additional bleachers, tents, food trucks, and more. Suitable for soccer, football, rugby, field hockey, and other field sports.
MSA Arena
A NHL sized arena with spectator seating for 1000 people. MSA is home to the PJHL's Abbotsford Pilots and Valley Rebels Lacrosse teams and is available for ice and dryland rentals only. MSA also offers 4 lit outdoor tennis courts and an outdoor lit asphalt basketball court.
