Rebuilding Abbotsford’s Tourism Economy, Events Advisory Committee is Formed – 2/02/2021

On average, the economic impact from hosting 270 plus events, per year, generates approximately $55 million. Tourism Abbotsford’s Sun & Soil Concert Series – 7/16/2020
(Abbotsford, BC) Tourism Abbotsford’s first Sun & Soil summer concert series presents a diverse mix of genres while supporting local artists, and highlights Abbotsford’s handmade and homegrown flavours. Locally grown and prepared foods, estate wineries, breweries, and cideries and countryside locations are
featured select Friday evenings throughout the summer. Sun & Soil invites people to attend in person or to tune in from the comfort of their homes.
Sips and Swings for Dad this Father’s Day – 6/9/2020
(Abbotsford, BC) Tourism Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley Trade and Exhibition Centre (Tradex) have launched another ‘Handmade & Homegrown’ gift bag sale to help support local business, but this time it’s for Father’s Day.
The gift bags feature products from several local businesses and can be purchased online, with curbside pick-up service on Thursday, June 18th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Friday, June 19th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Due to Covid-19 protocol, pick-up will be organized with social distancing measures in place. Items must be ordered by Thursday, June 18th at 5:00 pm.

Support Handmade and Homegrown This Mother’s Day – 5/2/2020
(Abbotsford, BC) Tourism Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley Trade and Exhibition Centre (Tradex) are launching a ‘Handmade & Homegrown’ Mother’s Day Gift Box Sale to help support local business. The gift boxes feature products from several local businesses and can be purchased online, with a curbside pick-up service on Saturday, May 9th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. True to Covid-19, pick-up will be organized with social distancing measures in place. Items must be ordered by Thursday, May 7th at 12:00 pm and supplies are limited.
Tourism Abbotsford Announces New Destination Brand – 7/11/2019
(Abbotsford, BC) Attended by a VIP guest list of 200 people, Tourism Abbotsford unveiled its destination brand last night at the Rail District Collective. The event highlighted the arts, local musicians, and farm-to-plate foods, all significant offerings of the new brand identity.
Lower Mainland’s Largest Indoor Christmas festival is Coming to Abbotsford – 4/3/2019
(Abbotsford, BC) A million twinkling lights, illuminated structures, interactive features and playgrounds, live music, a Christmas market showcasing local artisans, and the arrival of Santa Clause are being added to Abbotsford’s Christmas agenda this December. GLOW–the world’s largest indoor Christmas festival– will be arriving at the Fraser Valley Trade and Exhibition Centre (Tradex) on December 5th, 2019 and leaving on January 4, 2020.
