We can’t believe it’s already August and with that comes a jam-packed calendar of exciting events happening throughout the month in Abbotsford! From enjoying a full orchestra symphony in the park to seeing fighter jets roaring through the skies, there’s no shortage of unique events worth checking out. Yoga in the Park

Every Wednesday throughout August | 6pm-7pm | Jubilee Park, 2552 McCallum Road

This FREE event hosted by the Abbotsford Downtown Business Association happens weekly in Jubilee Park and is a great way to break up a work week! Simply bring your yoga mat and a water bottle to this accessible yoga class led by Jessica Hart. A new addition this summer has been weekly draws for prizes and cold tea served by Forage & Faire.

August 4th – 6th, 2023 | 10am-10pm | Exhibition Park, 32470 Haida Drive

From its humble beginnings in 1909, the Abbotsford Agrifair has been a place for the community to celebrate its agricultural roots through programs, entertainment, food, education, and so much more. Agrifair continues to be “The Best Little Country Fair!”

Every Saturday throughout May – October 2023 | 9am -12pm | Jubilee Park, 2552 McCallum Road

The Abbotsford Farm & Country Market combines the best of a modern market experience with a traditional “make, bake, or grow” principle for its juried vendors. As a result, the Abbotsford Farm & Country Market showcases the best in locally grown and produced products along with the creative talents of both artisans and entertainers.

August 9th – 11th, 2023 | 8am | Ledgeview Golf Club, 35997 McKee Road

The Abbotsford International Airshow has become one of the Fraser Valley’s largest and most exciting annual events! Experience aerial performances, aircraft displays, activity zones, food trucks and the Friday Night Twilight Show at this incredible event.

August 18th, 2023 | 6:30pm-9:30pm | Mill Lake Park, 33015 Bevan Avenue

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a full symphony orchestra conducted by Calvin Dyck! There will be food trucks on site and parking available at MSA Arena and Abby Middle School.

August 19-20, 2023 | 11am-4pm | Lepp Farm Market, 33955 Clayburn Road

The annual Lepp Farm Market Corn & Peach Festival is back! They’ll be firing up the BBQ, providing free fun for kids, live music, canning demos, hosting a Peach Pie Competition (with prizes!) and more.

August 19th, 2023 | 6pm-8:30pm | Lakeland Flowers, 3663 Marion Road

Enjoy live music amongst the flowers at Lakeland Flowers during their Summer Flower Festival with our final Abbotsford Sun + Soil Concert Series session! Each ticket gets you a 1.5 hour set from the Tanner Olsen Band, 4 menu options from Raven’s Brewing Company and plenty of local beer, wine, and cider options to sip on while enjoying the beautiful views.

August 22-26, 2023 | Various locations across Abbotsford

The 55+ BC Games are the largest annual multi-sport event for the 55+ population of BC. The Games offer an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports and activities. We’re thrilled to have them in Abbotsford this year! Visit their website for a full list of all the special events happening during the games.

August 25th + 26th, 2023 | 6pm-9pm| The Reach Gallery Museum, 32388 Veterans Way

Presented in partnership with The Reach, the 4th edition of the Abbotsford Film Festival will feature screenings, Q & A’s, live music and more over the course of two nights at The Reach Gallery Museum. A celebration of the arts, innovation, and creativity in our community, come support and experience a diverse range of stories from the valley and beyond.
