Thousands of lavender plants will welcome you in Tuscan Farm Garden and Lakeland Flowers. June and July are the months to experience the beautiful gardens and enjoy some delicious treats such as lavender ice cream and lemonade and unique photo ops.

On June 1st, EcoFarm Fest is happening with free entry for all! Filled with family friendly activities and delicious food and ice cream, this event is the perfect way to spend the first weekend of June.

There is nothing more delicious than fresh strawberries, specially if you are the one picking them! At select local farms, get a container and head to the fields to get the best looking berries. After you’ve filled you up your bucket, go and enjoy some seasonal treats.

Engage in a Luminous Waters Puppet Performance
On it’s 4th annual showing, the Luminous Waters puppet performance has brought to life three giant, illuminated puppets to tell the story of Semá:th X̱ó:tsa (Sumas Lake) before it was first drained 100 years ago. All ages are welcome and the production will make its appearance on June 3rd at 7pm at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium hosted by The Reach Gallery Museum. Tickets are available here.

Participate in the Selxwí:chel Arts and Culture Day at Trethewey House on June 9th
Selxwí:chel Arts and Culture Day is an Indigenous-themed skills transmission event with performing arts, interactive crafts, and workshops. The artists facilitating these activities will be from local Indigenous communities. On June 9th from 10am – 4pm at Trethewey House.
