Abbotsford’s Berry Picking Guide

June 30, 2022

Abbotsford is well known for our many farms—especially our berry farms. In fact, Abbotsford is the Raspberry Capital of Canada! This makes summer an exciting time in our city, as there are so many different berry fields to spend the day picking in.

Make sure to check out each farm’s website for up-to-date hours, rates, and the different seasons for each type of berry!

Maan Farms is a local favourite, featuring new and exciting farm experiences year round. Summer is the season of their “Berry Days,” where visitors can come and pick strawberries, blueberries and raspberries! They also have a giant strawberry, a petting zoo, a “Berry Princess,” and so many other fun features. They even have a variety of treats made with their farm fresh berries such as berry ice cream!

Russlynn Blueberry Farm is an excellent place to go for an authentic berry picking experience. This family-owned farm has been growing blueberries on their farm since 1986, and all of their berries are harvested by hand! Stop by to pick some berries, and stay to enjoy them at a shady picnic table or lounging in their grass area.

Taves Family Farm has plenty of fun for the whole family. With u-pick strawberries, a unique u-pick goji berry experience, fun farm experiences, and a cozy estate cidery, Taves is a great place to spend a summer day!

Family owned and operated, Willems Berry Farm has been around since the 1980’s! They have u-pick available for raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries, as well as pre-picked flats available for purchase. Check out their Facebook Page for the most current information.

Ecodairy is a farm discovery centre and dairy farm which is in partnership with Science World. Not only do they host fantastic tours for all ages showcasing their innovative farming practices, they also have a berry field with a view of Mount Baker where you can pick fresh blueberries and blackberries! The EcoDairy also has a wheelchair accessible path, making the berry picking fun accessible to all.
