From pumpkin patches and haunted corn mazes to historic cafés and busy downtown streets, you’ll find yourself walking through real-life sets that feel straight out of the big screen. Whether you’re a film buff chasing familiar backdrops or just looking for a cozy fall getaway, this two-day itinerary will guide you through the spookier, more mysterious side of Abbywood.

DAY 1

Kick off your autumn Abbywood adventure at Mama Maan’s Kitchen at Maan Farms. Fuel up with savoury samosas or lean into the season with something sweet like their Double Pumpkin Spice Cream. If you’re a fan of CTV’s Farming for Love, you may recognize this local favourite from Season 1 – Gurleen Maan herself was featured, and you might just bump into her while exploring the farm.

Once you’re full of fall flavours, it’s time to dive into Fall at the Farm at Maan Farms. Think Instagram-worthy pumpkin patches, playful barnyard animals, paintball, jumping pillows, and yes, the infamous Scariest Corn Maze in Canada, at their Halloween Fright Festival. Whether you’re here for the cozy family fun or the spooky thrills, this stop sets the perfect autumn stage.

When the evening sets in, head downtown to The Tipsy Barrel for a pub-style dinner with a cinematic twist. This local hotspot has made appearances in How to Murder Your Husband and Morning Show Mystery, making it the ideal hangout for anyone with a detective streak.

If you’re craving more action, round out your night at the Abbotsford Centre. Fall marks the start of hockey season, and the Abbotsford Canucks (fresh off their Calder Cup Championship) drop the puck at their home opener on October 24th. Not a hockey fan? This venue has also been a filming location for productions like Supergirl, Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, and So Help Me Todd, so the cinematic energy is always in the air.

DAY 2

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the Matsqui Café, a charming spot worth checking out. After breakfast, take a stroll through Matsqui Village, soaking in the history and retracing the exact spots where scenes from this episode of Supernatural were filmed.

Next, make your way to Downtown Abbotsford, where eclectic shops and hidden gems double as filming backdrops. Step into Retro Media Music & Video, featured in Netflix’s Mixtape, or browse Totally Book-ish, a cozy bookstore that popped up in Engaged to be Murdered. Keep your eyes peeled as you may feel like you’ve walked straight onto a movie set.

For lunch, grab a bite at Bob’s Breakfast and Burgers or swing by the Turo Turo Food Cart in the Central Heights Church parking lot. Bethenny Frankel filmed Danger in the Dorm nearby so this midday meal makes for a true Abbywood moment.

Round out your adventure at Taves Family Farms, one of Abbotsford’s most iconic fall destinations—and a filming favourite. This picturesque spot has appeared in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Doomsday Mom. Whether you’re apple-picking, sipping fresh cider, or wandering through the orchards, you’ll see why directors and locals alike are drawn to this magical farm.
