That’s what makes Abbotsford a great place to visit in the summertime: not only do so many of our yummy berries come into season, but an array of stunning flowers also fill our fields! Here are six outdoor flower experiences in Abbotsford to make you stop and smell the roses this summer.
Tuscan Farm Gardens
Tuscan Farm Gardens is a working lavender farm featuring a beautiful garden that makes you feel as if you’re in the French countryside. The property also houses a farm store with lavender based soaps, honey, and more! Stop by on a weekend for some lavender ice cream, and post it on Instagram with the hashtags #exploreabbotsford and #tuscanfarmgardens
It is recommended you purchase your tickets ahead of time, but they are also available to purchase upon arrival.
Lakeland Flowers has had its home in Abbotsford for over 47 years. The family owned farm is open now until labour day weekend showcasing their beautiful sunflowers! Stop by the farm to U-pick their sunflowers, and snap a few photos in the sunny fields. Lakeland also has tulips, peonies, and lavender available earlier in the year. Taves Family Farm
With the Applebarn where you can buy fresh fruit, Farmville where you can see all the cute animals from goats to alpacas, and the cidery where you can stop for a flight of fresh cider, Taves is a great place to spend the day with friends or family! This year, their sunflower patch is expected to open on August 18th. Take a walk through and enjoy the six different types of sunflowers, bridges, gazebos, and hidden gnomes!
Wander through their hydrangeas, rhododendrons, and stunning array of other flowers in their garden, before grabbing some plants and flowers for your own garden at home. This summer, Tanglebank is offering picnic lunches that can be ordered ahead of time, and then enjoyed in the gardens, or taken to go!
