Grab your market bag and experience what it means to shop from the best in local vendors and fresh, real food with a trip to the Abbotsford Farm and Country Market! Every week there’s a huge variety of vendors selling handmade goods, locally-produced produce and also musical entertainment to make this an Abbotsford-locals favourite activity.

Abbotsford is a part of the BC Bird Trail and that’s for good reason! This urban wetland on the Sumas Flats is a mixture of marsh, grassy field, and treed areas also containing a creek and two large water detention ponds. Enjoy the 2.6-kilometre outer trail, or one of the many interconnecting trails, and keep an eye out for great blue heron, northern shoveler, and belted kingfisher. This is definitely one part of the city not to be missed!

At Jurassic Quest life-size dinosaurs are meticulously painted and animated to be realer-than-real. Whether you’re 3 or 103, this is a one-of-a-kind experience you’ll never forget! Don’t miss the Spinosaurus, T-Rex, and the 50-foot-long megalodon!

Fun activities include: Conquer the Quest, Ride a Dino, big, dinosaur-themed bounce houses and create a dino craft. You can dig for fossils, meet baby dinos, walk with dinosaurs and even discover the secrets of underwater sea dwellers like the enormous pre-historic sea turtle, the earliest discovered dolphins and of course, the 50-foot megalodon!

The bees are incredibly important to our planet and luckily for us, the folks at Campbell’s Gold Honey Farm & Meadery are offering up a great workshop to teach us how to help the bees! Join them for a free informational tour of the many plants and trees they have on their farm to help provide nutrition to keep the honey bees healthy and happy at the Bee Demonstration Garden Tour.

This weekend is a great time to make your way up Sumas Mountain to train for the upcoming Trail Run For Water which happens next weekend on May 28th! The trails are rugged single-track trails with vistas of the Fraser River and the gorgeous Fraser Valley. If anything, it’s a great excuse to get out, enjoy the beautiful forecasted weather and take in those incredible views while experiencing one of the jewels of Abbotsford.

Grab your favourite caddy (or friend/family member) and head to the golf course! Fraserglen Golf Course is a fun and challenging mid-length, 18-hole golf course with subtle undulations and tree lined fairways that make the golf course an easy walk for golfers of all ages, yet it’s greens are well bunkered making the course a challenge for golfers of all levels.
