Abbotsford is home to many well stocked and knowledgeable garden stores that will get you started, whether you’re a seasoned green thumb or a novice. Devan Greenhouses

Located on Fraser Highway, Devan Greenhouses is a favourite with garden lovers. Featuring a 30,000 square metre greenhouse, you can find a large variety of plants, fresh cut flowers, décor, herbs, seeds, tools, and more. Devan prides themselves in growing the majority of their own annuals and bedding plants and are pesticide free. Their friendly staff can help you with any gardening questions you may have and be sure to check out their friendly goats in the petting zoo!

Tanglebank Gardens

Homestead Nurseryland

Abbotsford’s Homestead Nurseryland & Florist has everything you need to achieve your gardening and landscaping goals, and the knowledge to get you there. Their staff are passionate and helpful who have worked at the location for up to 25 years and love sharing their tips, tricks, and love of gardening with the community. The nursery carries a complete line of outdoor plants, shrubs, trees, perennials, herbs, vegetables and fruits, water fountains, and pond equipment. Looking to brighten the day of someone out of town? Their flower department takes wire orders for deliveries both locally and worldwide.

Five Maples Nursery & Garden Centre

This family owned and operated full-service retail garden center offers a wide selection of annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs. They also carry bulk soils, bark mulch and rocks. They are easily accessible off of Highway 1, just take the Whatcom exit and head south. In addition to having a great store and helpful staff, you can find a variety of informative gardening articles on their website that will help you on your gardening journey!

Lakeland Flower Farm

Although it’s not technically a garden centre, Lakeland Flower Farm is the perfect place to check out if you’d like to pick your own spring flowers but don’t want all the hassle of planting them! This 35 acre field will be opening on April 10 (check their website for dates and ticketing information) and visitors will be able to wander through rows of 5 million tulips, take photos, and pick their own bundle to take home! After this year, the farm plans to expand to include fields of peonies, lavender, and sunflowers! This is a must see to get your spring tulip fix.
