Another exciting holiday season is approaching here in Abbotsford and there is no shortage of ways to celebrate this magical time of year. Take in the sights and holiday activations in Historic Downtown Abbotsford, enjoy a Holiday show at Highstreet, or head to seasonal favourite Glenda’s Christmas Cottage to find a perfect holiday gift. We can’t wait to see how you spend your holidays locally in Abbotsford!

Holidays at Highstreet

Your favourite Holiday tradition returns to Highstreet this year. They’ll light the tree and welcome Santa direct from the North Pole. They’ve got Rudolph, Frosty, a marching band, dancers and a 65ft tall Christmas tree to light up the night sky. Holiday tunes and sparkling lights to get you into the spirit. Masks and proof of vaccination are required.

Have a Ball in Historic Downtown Abbotsford

Have a Ball in Downtown Abbotsford this holiday season! The elves have been hard to work to bring smiles to those visiting the streets of Downtown with activated spaces like their Holiday Headquarters, pictures with Santa, Mrs. Claus and The Grinch, Sip ‘n Shop series, Storytime with Mrs. Claus, kids crafts and more. You won’t want to miss out on all the magic in Downtown Abbotsford!

Holidays at Sevenoaks Shopping Centre

This holiday season, Sevenoaks Shopping Centre are bringing back their Photos with Santa along with the 13th Annual Trees of Hope display in support of the Abbotsford Police Foundation! Santa photos will look a little different this year, as the set has been modified to provide a safe experience for everyone. Find the Santa Photo Studio located inside Centre Court. The Trees of Hope is a community event introduced in 2009, which provides Abbotsford businesses the opportunity to share in the spirit of giving during the holiday season. The decorated trees will be displayed in the common area of Sevenoaks Shopping Centre.

Ledgeview Tree Farm

Gather your family and head out to Ledgeview Christmas Tree Farm for a classic tradition of picking out your tree! You can select from their pre-cut trees or cut one down for your self with one of their provided saws. They’ve even got hot chocolate to warm you up when you visit!

Christmas at Maan Farms

Visit the farm this Christmas season and experience the joy that only comes from the magic of the holidays. Have a special lunch with Santa and their goats, find the perfect gift for everyone on your list at Christmas Shopping Days, and try their festival Rudolph Ice Cream!

Tanglebank Gardens & Brambles Bistro 

Christmas has come to Tanglebank Gardens & Brambles Bistro. Their shop is stocked with special ornaments, gifts for the plant lovers in your life and all sorts of trinkets that will be sure to bring a smile to your face. After you finish your holiday shopping, enjoy a delicious meal at their in-house bistro!

For A Good Cause

Archway Abbotsford Food Bank Toys for Tots Drive Thru

The Canucks organization has offered to host this year’s Toys for Tots Drive Thru event at the Abbotsford Centre due to flooding at the normal venue, Clarion Hotel. Guests can still look forward to a festive experience with appearances throughout the day by the Ever After Snow Princesses, the MEI Chamber Singers and Screaming Eagles Marching Band, and of course, Santa himself. Unfortunately, due to the last-minute change of venue, organizers are currently unsure if they will be able to provide “breakfast-to-go.”

Christmas at Communitas

See their beautiful Christmas trees, meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus – all the kids get a goodie bag, letters to Santa, live carol music, giveaways, complimentary cider & goodies from Little Sprout Café and a meet and greet with Mayor Braun! Visit their website for full details.
