From meeting farm animals to learning about where our food comes from, kids are sure to love these agri-educational experiences. Get back to basics and connect with the land by exploring one of our local Abbotsford Circle Farm Tour partners.

Bring the farm inside at EcoDairy

Explore the science behind farming in the state-of-the-art Discovery Centre and dairy barn. Watch the robot milker in action and learn all about where dairy products come from with the help of a knowledgeable tour guide.

Outdoors, there is even more to explore! See the goats on the roof, say hello to the pigs, calves, turkeys and more in our Animal Exhibit, and wander through our park and picnic grounds. Location: 1356 Sumas Way, Abbotsford | www.ecodairy.ca

 

Learn to fish at Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery

The Learn to Fish program is aimed at children 5-15 years old and is a half day course teaching the basics of how, where and when to catch fish in freshwater. Register for the March 22nd course by heading to www.gofishbc.com or calling (604) 504-4716.

Meet the bees at Campbell’s Gold Honey Farm & Meadery

For a unique educational experience visit the Campbell family and learn about everything bees! There is something here for people of all ages, from children’s activities to mead sampling for adults, it makes for a great afternoon learning about life on a bee farm!
