Explore Abbotsford’s Circle Farm Tour
June 29, 2019
Long summer days are on the horizon which means more time for a leisurely journey through the countryside.
And what better way to truly explore the country and Abbotsford’s deep agricultural roots than through a self-guided Circle Farm Tour
Plan your day
Created as a way for locals and visitors to explore working farms and purchase their food from the source, Circle Farm Tour is now in its 14th year and has expanded to five different communities. Although the tour was designed to be self-guided, Brookside Boutique Tours does offer a bus tour complete with driver for groups of up to 14 people. This is a great option if you’d like to savor a glass or two at one of our winery partners or simply want to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
Circle Farm Tour partners are separated into four categories: Farm Experience, Farm Store, Sips and Spirits, and Eatery. Keep reading to learn more about each category and the businesses you will find along the way.
For a truly immersive farm experience, the businesses in this category are your go to. Pick your own fruits and vegetables, walk through the fields, meet the animals and more to enjoy a true farm experience. The businesses in this category offer something for everyone and every season! For u-pick fields, corn mazes and more visit the Applebarn at Taves Family Farms or Maan Farms Market & Estate Winery. Enjoy beautiful seasonal florals at Bloom, The Abbotsford Tulip Festival and Tanglebank Gardens & Brambles Bistro.

Impress your friends by catching your own fish at Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery. All businesses are based on seasonal availability so we recommend calling ahead to see what will be available when you visit!
For those who want the freshest produce, meat and dairy products but forgot to pack their boots and overalls the businesses in our Farm Store category will have you covered! Birchwood Dairy Farm serves up some of the Fraser Valley’s best ice cream and dairy products for you to enjoy on site or take home for later! Sips & Spirits
The Fraser Valley is quickly becoming BC’s emerging wine region, and for good reason. Abbotsford offers an amazing selection of wine and wineries, from classic grape varietals to sweet berry wines. Visit the Mt. Lehman neighborhood for scenic drives and beautiful wineries. Mt. Lehman Winery is a family-owned and operated winery that has been operating in Abbotsford since 2009.
Enjoy a glass of wine in the beautiful chapel style tasting room of Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery. Sample the award-winning wines of Singletree Winery under the sun on their patio lawn area. For fresh berry wines and picturesque scenery, visit Ripples Winery & Woodbridge Ponds in East Abbotsford.
After a long and fulfilling day exploring all that the Abbotsford Circle Farm Tour has to offer it’s time to enjoy a truly local dining experience. Owner and chef Jeff Massey of Restaurant 62 creates a menu of farm to table inspired dishes that change with the season without sacrificing quality or flavor. In addition to the locally sourced food you can find a wine and beer list with an abundance of Abbotsford grown options making this the perfect way to round out your Circle Farm Tour day!
