Love flowers and poetry? Join the City of Abbotsford’s Artist in Residence, Alexandra Richards in an activity combining floral arrangement and creative writing.
Throughout history, plants and flowers have contained symbolic meanings. In this activity, participants will create a posy (small bouquet) from locally harvested plants and flowers, and find out the meaning behind each of them using ‘floriography’ (the symbolism of flowers). Each bouquet becomes a unique poem.
Free. All materials provided. All ages and abilities are welcome. Parental/caregiver participation required.
